Many counties of Central and Northern NJ have clay-rich or poorly draining soils. These soils retain lots of water, creating hydrostatic pressure against basement walls during rainy seasons. What areas do you serve?

Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. When we install an interior French drain together with a sump pump, we guarantee no water will come into the basement. If we only do part of the job, we guarantee the part we did. For example, a sump pump replacement is guaranteed to work, but it doesn't guarantee a dry basement on its own.
Is there a cheaper first step before a full French drain?
Yes. For $1,000 we seal small visible cracks on the outside of the foundation where water can get in and extend your gutters to carry water away from the house. If that stops the water, you're done. If it doesn't, you'll know the problem is bigger, and if you go ahead with a French drain installation, the $1,000 comes off the installation price.
How much does a French drain cost?
A full interior French drain and sump pump system usually runs $8,000 to $16,000, with bigger basements at the higher end. The price depends mostly on how many feet of wall need the drain and how many sump pumps the basement needs. My basement is finished. Do you put it back together afterward?
No. We install the drain and sump pump and close the trench with new concrete, but we don't do the renovation work afterward, such as sheetrock, paint or floor finishing.
Do you replace sump pumps?
Yes. A sump pump replacement is guaranteed to work, but it doesn't guarantee a dry basement on its own. The no-water guarantee comes with a French drain and sump pump installed together.
What if my basement wall is cracked or bowing in?
When the damage is serious, we brace the wall with steel beams anchored to the floor and to the joists above, along with fixing the water problem that caused it.
Do you work on crawl spaces?
No. We focus on basements: interior French drains, sump pumps, and wall bracing.
